My Life ... According To Rush

A friend of mine set me (and a few others) a challenge on Facebook:

Using only song names from ONE ARTIST, cleverly answer these questions. You can't use the artist I used. Try not to repeat a song title. It's a lot harder than you think!

I’ve chosen to take the challenge on this blog instead of doing the Facebook thing (though I may do that later). My mate chose the Red Hot Chilli Peppers and came up with some clever answers. I’ve chosen Rush – my favourite rock band on the entire planet. Anyway here goes:

Pick your Artist:
Rush

Are you a Male or a Female:
New World Man

Describe Yourself:
The Analog Kid

How do you feel:
Driven

Describe where you currently live:
Between Sun and Moon

If you could go anywhere, where would you go:
A Passage To Bangkok

Your Favorite form of Transportation:
Red Barchetta

Your Best Friend is:
Tom Sawyer

You and your best friends are:
In The Mood

The weather is:
Chain Lightning

What's your favorite time of day:
Fly By Night

If your life was a TV show, what would it be called:
Ghost Rider

What is life to you:
Finding My Way

Your last relationship:
Something For Nothing

Your fear:
The Necromancer

Thought for the day:
Show Don’t Tell

How I would like to die:
Between The Wheels

My soul's present condition:
Closer To The Heart

My Motto:
Stick It Out

Well that was trickier than I thought – but fun. Feel free to have a go and let me know if you wish.

Hi PM. These came out rather nicely, huh? Though I hope you don't die Between the Wheels, I guess you didn't have much of a choice! I may try this...right now I'm so miserably behind in everything. argh.

Fun post!

Hi Holly,

Yes - I don't really want to die "between the wheels" :0)

I wish Rush had written a song called "I Won't Die - I am Immortal" because that would be my ideal choice. Mind you, "Xanadu" does refer to a "mad immortal man" - that would be me!

Oh dear - hope you catch up with all your stuff! There just isn't enough time...

:-)

Hi Kath,

I wondered who "Oingo Boingo" were but then I noticed "Weird Science" and it all came back to me.

Great answers.

Dear PM, I am still laughing. Some of these are very funny and some...well, one...is rather worrisome: "Between the Wheels". Why don't we just pretend that one doesn't exist. We want you around for a long time. You make too many people laugh and god knows we ALL need more of that. So I am wiping that from the slate for you!! And I am seeing you an immortal and out living us all. LOLOL!!! :)

I am VERY impressed with how you did this and yet not surprised as you are exceedingly talented.

I also wanted to thank you for your kind and supportive comment on my post "Alone, But Not Lonely"...where I went into the wild. It was an astounding experience, although completely different to what I had planned. :)) Aah, such is life! ALSO, I LOVED being called "a brave soldier". No one has ever called me that and I was deeply honored, especially having it come from you. Thank you my friend. Much appreciated. Robin

Hi Robin,

As I said to Holly, I would love to be a "mad immortal man" but unfortunately that's a lyric rather than a song title. I'm quite happy to scratch to "Between The Wheels" entry - it was the only one available really :0)

I'm glad you enjoyed your experience and I still think you are a "brave soldier". I would definitely think twice about such a venture. I'm glad you found your experience astounding.
