There is
nothing more relaxing that watching a beautiful sunrise or sunset. Manchester
is covered with cloud most of the year so it can be difficult to see the sun at
all, making it necessary for me to travel to far off exotic places to witness
such splendour.
Nevertheless,
I have managed to catch a glimpse of the sun rising and falling behind the
horizon in my adopted home town.
I have
captured a few nice sunsets and the odd the sunrise over recent years – mostly
sunsets because catching a good sunrise requires getting up at the crack of
dawn (something I prefer not to do on holiday).
I thought I
would share a few with you. I hope you like them.

Very nice. I prefer the sunset, I like to sleep through he sunrise.
ReplyDeleteLove them. I am a dawn and dusk addict.
ReplyDeleteMy partner, whose preference is getting up at the crack of noon, misses the dawns.
Love your work PM - great blog idea - I might rob that...

Ummm, just to be nit-picky...those Manchester photos clearly do have clouds in them.
ReplyDeleteI'm guessing usually the cloud cover is complete rather than patchy. (*~*)
The photos are all very lovely.
Even a surly cynic like myself loves a good sunset. Very pretty pics. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteHi Joeh,
ReplyDeleteMe too - but jet lag sometimes allows me to look at a good sunrise.

Hi EC,
ReplyDeleteThe best chance to catch a sunrise here is on a winter morning - but usually it's raining and masked by clouds.

Hi River,
