I played it to death in the late seventies/early eighties and, with the possible exception of "Strangers In The Night" is the best live album ever.

I'm a huge fan of the Foos and I particularly like the 80s stuff because it reminds me of life at university.

Eric Clapton/Cream - top stuff, especially "Layla", "I Feel Free", "Crossroads" and "Let It Grow".

Nirvana - I had a ticket to see them in Manchester when the news about Kurt Cobain broke :-(

Some good albums you have there Holly.

:-)

Cheers

PMPlastic Mancunianhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01864213919913476168noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4170913783015287649.post-81505166838180200292009-03-19T21:07:00.000+00:002009-03-19T21:07:00.000+00:00Hi PM,Now ya got me started. My first year in college, I had a friend who would blast "Smoke on the Water" while whipping up daiquiris in his blender. To this day I cannot have a daiquiri without thinking of him...or Deep Purple. Ahhh...

And you've got others there too that I love...the 80s stuff, Foo Fighters (love Nirvana).

I guess if I were making my own list I would have to include: Grateful Dead's "American Beauty"; Derek & the Dominoes "Layla and other..."; "The Very Best of Cream"; Jimi Hendrix's "Are You Experienced"; Nirvana's "Unplugged in New York"; CSN's "Crosby, Stills & Nash"; and REM's "Monster." That's just to start, of course...

Geesh, I'm going to have to go through your list and listen to every one of them. I'm no good at album names so I have no choice!

Great post, PM!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4170913783015287649.post-50143827112031245122009-03-16T18:22:00.000+00:002009-03-16T18:22:00.000+00:00Hi Horatio,I've heard a couple of Weezer tracks - ...Hi Horatio,

I've heard a couple of Weezer tracks - not a bad band.
